New Workshops for 2016

May 8, 2016

Would you like to get your camera off AUTO?

Whether you have a compact, bridge or full SLR camera, it pays to know how to use it.

Are you trying to take great pictures of your children and family but they are often blurry or too dark?

Did you buy a great camera and yet your holiday snaps still leave you a little disappointed?

Would you like to learn how to get those creamy, smooth and out of focus backgrounds you see in professional photos?

Did you answer ‘YES??™ to any of those questions? This may just be the workshop for you!

We are pleased to offer an informal and relaxed one day workshop for beginners to enable them to take the first steps in learning how to be in control of your camera.
This workshop aims to get you to understand the basics of composition and it will also explain all those pre-set modes that come with digital cameras and how they can be used to good effect. It is all about  getting off the “auto” modes and learning about your camera??™s most important settings. This course is equally suitable for any type of camera – from compacts to digital slrs. We show you the most important controls and menu items on your camera, explain in plain English what they do, and show you exactly how to set them

The session will start with some basic tuition to get you going.  Then we will go out and about to practice our skills.

You will learn how to:
avoid blurred pictures by setting the correct shutter speed
set the focus point exactly where you want it
get correct exposure in your photographs
get colours the way you want them to

learn about the information your camera gives you, and how to use it

We only allow a maximum of 6 students on our workshops,
The course runs from 10am until 3pm

How much does it cost?
The cost for the day is £80 and includes plenty of tea and coffee and home baking. With a generous packed lunch to have whilst we are out on the workshop.
